Who is a Christian? Where or how did the name Christian come about. “Christian” was the name that the people in Antioch gave to the followers of Christ in the written bible era (Acts 11:26). From all that, we can now safely say: A Christian is someone who follows Christ and his footsteps.

What does it now mean to follow Christ?
After a Christian gets to know who Christ is then the next best move is to trust him, study and trust his written word which is there for your learning and growth. Church leaders would normally say, follow me as I follow Christ. The ultimate goal for a Christian is not to follow the leader really but to follow Christ with the leader leading by example. The well-known bible story of Nicodemus of the Pharisees would be a good point of reference in teaching someone how to follow Christ. (John 3: 1-21)…to be continued.
